Bug Abuse, the First Round! [UPDATED]

Tags: , ,

Just as other games out there, The Chronicles of Spellborn has will encounter players trying to exploit any, even the slightest bugs to gain an unfair advantage. Right now, there is the first instance of people abusing a just recently discovered bug to get fame and PeP without risk. Something has to be done!

The “bug”, or maybe bad design in this specific case are the cages in the Arena District of Quarterstone. Those cages contain wild animals to entertain those gladiators training for their arena matches and duels. Those animals can be killed and represent a slow and secure way to get fame and PeP. Why? Because they can’t fight back!

Those people abusing this, use something like a weight for instance to keep one of their mouse buttons pressed and deliver constant attacks. There only seem to be two cages, and you can be sure if you’d go there to find two people fighting defenceless animals. I already wrote a ticket concerning this and there is an active thread about this.

Help us fair-minded players to retain an exploit free game and write a ticket and reply in that thread.

  1. Yeah this needs to be fixed asap. I check it out on Dravhare but noone was there, I killed a few to see what the fame / pep reward was and its enough that I understand people would want to exploit it. I hope that the exploiters will get warned and a fix will come soon!

Erf what a shame to see already people trying to sneaks for every single Exploit. Well what can we do ? it’s just sad :/

What benefit can you take without fighting without risks ?

  3. I’m glad they displayed that system message, and I really hope that repeated offenders now that they are warned will face a zero tolerance policy and the devs will take measures like time or perma bans.

And to be honest, I really don’t understand why those people are exploiting, they’re ruining the game for themselves just as they ruining it for those playing fair and square.
